Meet Information

The Manatee County Varsity Championship track and field meet will be hosted at St. Stephen's Episcopal School on Tuesday, April 4, 2017. ***This meet is scheduled for teams in Manatee County only!!!

TEAMS: Bayshore, Bradenton Christian, Braden River, IMG, Lakewood Ranch, Manatee, Palmetto, Southeast and St. Stephens

SHARE OF EXPENSES:
Entry Fee - $160 per school

ENTRIES:
Entries due by 11:59 pm on Friday, March 31, 2017.

Entries must be submitted on www.flrunners.com please use the full name of the athlete (no nicknames), grade, gender, event & mark. Please be considerate when entering entry marks, as the heats will be seeded based on time. All athletes with no entry marks will be given no time, and will be seeded last. Scratches will be done at the coaches meeting, but no additions or changes to entries.

** You may have 4 entries per event for individual events and only one relay per school/per gender.

3:00 - Field Events
3:30 - 4x800 Relay
4:00 - Senior Night Presentation
5:00 - Running Finals

AWARDS:
Team trophies: 1st & 2nd place
Individual medals: 1st to 3rd places

FIELD EVENTS:
There will be 3 efforts in the jumps & throws (ALL Finals).
Order: Girls discus and Boys shot then reverse at the completion of each event.
Girls high jump then boys. Girls and Boys long jump followed by triple jump.

Field event assignments:
Shot Put - Manatee and Braden River
Discus - Palmetto and Braden River
High Jump - St. Stephens and Bayshore
Pole Vault - Lakewood Ranch and Bradenton Christian
Girls Long Jump and Triple Jump - Southeast and Bayshore
Boys Long Jump and Triple Jump – Manatee and Palmetto

RUNNING EVENTS:
No prelims! All finals are seeded.
Order: Girls then boys in each event
Relay Zone assignments: 1- Palmetto and Southeast, 2- IMG and Lakewood Ranch, 3- Braden River and Manatee

CHECK IN:
Athletes must check in to the clerk at first call. Please let your athletes know so they will not be disqualified. Uniform rule will be in effect.

** The only people allowed on the infield are athletes while they are competing and meet officials while they are officiating. There will be no exceptions for this! All gates will be locked. The only entrance to the track will be through the clerks table. Any athletes caught jumping the fences will be disqualified.

WARM-UP AREA: Teams may set up tents, tarps, etc. and warm-up on the softball field only.

There will be concessions at this meet and hospitality for coaches.
