This meet is an invitational meet for all Catholic High schools in the state of Florida. Dan Brown was well‐known for his many years of contribution to track and field in northeast Florida. Dan coached at Bishop Kenny from 1972 to 1986 and was the early driving force behind the track and field program that has become so well‐known today. Coach Brown left Bishop Kenny to pursue a career in law, which took him and his family to Spokane, Washington, for law school at Gonzaga University. Dan also continued to coach track and field in Spokane, with numerous athletes winning at the State Finals. In 2007, when the Bishop Snyder track and field program was beginning to gain momentum, Dan Brown was instrumental in both the fundraising and design of our new facility, giving us the gift of one of the finest track facilities in the state.
