We breakdown the girls and boys individuals and team battles at the Buffalo Invitational.
Both individual races in 2A- Region 3 were dominated by individual runners. On the girls side, it was Lemon Bay's Kelsi Oglivie, on the boys side it was Lake Wales' Paul Stafford. The Lely boys led by Joshua Wagner won the regional title over Dunbar while on the girl's side Academy of Holy Names and Berkeley Prep both used their depth to finish 1-2. Both defending district champions from 2015 held serve at Al Lopez Park in Tampa. First up were the girls and while the Academy Jaguars didn't return Greta Dieck to the top of the podium, junior Emma Zazzero came through to win the title for the Jags. Zazzero has emerged as the Jags' top runner in 2016.
The 2A District 10 Championship was one of the smallest this week in the state of Florida, but that didn't stop us from getting coverage! Andy Warrener was on-site at Al Lopez Park and captured nearly 200 photos including this one of the start of the boy's varsity race won by Berkeley Prep's Leo Ochoa.
The Mitchell Invitational at Jay B Starkey Park in New Port Richey was in its ninth year on Saturday. However, it was the first year the meet was renamed in memory of former coach Mike Holl. Holl succumbed to brain cancer in February and his presence was an inspiring factor to not only Mitchell runners but to every runner from the 28 teams present.
Josie Garba of Tampa Prep won the Indian Rocks Christian Open for the second year in a row while Cooper LaBrant of the host Golden Eagles took the boys title. On the team front, the Clearwater girls and Bloomingdale boys were victorious. Don't miss a minute of race action as well as video interviews!
This year's Indian Rocks Christian Open has a new location thanks to recent weather. The meet will be held at Taylor Park in Largo and the Golden Eagles are hoping to improve on the boys runner-up and girls third place finishes from 2015. Defending champions Leo Ochoa of Berkeley Prep and Josie Garba of Tampa Prep return with a chance to repeat.
Andy Warrener was on-site at the 2A District 10 Championship at Berkeley Prep and captured over 350 photos including this one of Buccaneers junior Leo Ochoa who won the 1,600, 3,200, and was a member of the team's runner-up 4x800m relay.
The athletes from Class 2A District 10 set off on the same course they ran in just nine days ago at Al Lopez Park in Tampa. Winners from 2014 held serve but just barely. The Berkeley Prep boys won it with 34 to runner up Jefferson with 35.

The Indian Rocks Christian Open opened up on a sweltering summer evening. Tampa Prep freshman Josie Garba and Berkeley Prep's Leo Ochoa won the boys race. Shorecrest Prep boys and Berkeley Prep girls took home team titles. Andy Warrener gives us the complete rundown.

Tampa- In districts with six or fewer teams, only the top three teams and the first 13 individuals move on to the regional. In districts with seven or more teams, the first four placing teams and the top 13 runners qualify. (via TBO.com)
