Team Announcements

States! Here we come :) It is going to be nice to back at Little Everglades. Our girls team has surpassed any expectations that we had in the beginning of the season. This has been an amazing season with a Cinderella Ending. Who would have suspected Gulf as a top contender after loosing Ajla for the beginning of the season Natalie for almost the entire season to an injury and three freshman on...

What an exciting day yesterday! I know that it has been awhile since an update (sorry, I've been busy), so I will cover the District Meet from yesterday and then the Conference Meet. Our girls were FLYING! Our girls pulled out a Second Place finish with team average of 21:37. And, as a team victory, the girls had all seven of our runners in front of Wiregrass's #7! The first time this season...

What a great morning! Everyone ran amazing and we have a lot to say The girls placed 2nd overall with a team average of 21:35. What a long way the girls have come, at the Mitchell Invite, the girls averaged 23:14. Way to go ladies! Leading the way was Brooke Rossi placing 11th overall in a time of 21:05 a 38 second PR. Renee Patnode had an outstanding race placing 14th overall with a time...

What a great evening! Although I was unable to get out there to watch the event, I have a complete recap. A very exciting evening filled with great performances: To start off: Girls JV Natalie Smith earned herself some nice hard wear on her first race back this season from a nagging knee injury. She placed 10th overall with a time of 23:33, earning a Varsity spot during Conference by 1...

Hell All! This weekend was very exciting with our girls "running" away with the runner-up trophy, despite missing a key runner from varsity. Our boys pulled off a very impressive 7th place out of 17 teams. Some key performances include: Nick Buliga leading the boys with a spectacular finish of 14th place and a time of 17:39 Dustin Demattia ran another personal best, saying good bye to...

Thank you runners for another successful and enjoyable year. From Camp way back when to States, (STATES!!) this year was fun. You guys almost always improved from week to week. The constant improvement and always challenging yourself for the next goal are two of the many postive things I hope you take away from this season. And thank you parents for your support. Coach Ron

This week is a tough one. With both races to consider, it brings a lot to the table. So, after much debate with myself, I am voting for "Shoeless" Jackson for his efforts in KW. He ran only 3 seconds slower over 48 hills than at the West Pasco Invite. For my ladies....although Mia's performance was quite impressive, I do believe that this young lady has something way more exciting waiting to burst out. My vote is going to the very talented Rachael Patnode for finally having that break through performance. Welcome to the 2010 season Rachael...nice to have you back.

Wow. Selecting the best efforts from two races, but at least we have this weekend off. I vote for 'Shoeless' Jackson and Rachael Patnode for her break through run at Ridgewood. Mia's run in KW was a very close second though.
