Only one person can say they are at the tops of the 2A leaderboard and that distincition belongs to Hallandale's Kimani Rushing (pictured above center) who is first in the hurdle events as well as the triple jump after a great weekend at the Sam Burley Hall of Fame Invitational. Lake Highland Prep senior and University of Southern Calfornia signee Deanna HIl has the top times in the 100 and 400 meter dash. However, Hill has yet to make her debut in the 200, a race she will appear in this weekend at the Lake Highland Track & Field Elite Classic. Distance standout Mackenzie Wilson of Bolles leads 2A in both the 1600 and 3200. On the boys' side two Miami standouts pave the way. Tyrone Thornton of Miami Jackson has the top marks in the 100 and long jump, while Booker T. Washington senior Krondis Larry is number one in the 200 and 400 meter dash.
