Top Performance:

Riley Egan of St. Thomas Aquinas vaulted to a huge new PR of 15-10, which places him squarely in the state leader position this season. The performance came at the St. Thomas Aquinas Tri-Meet on Wednesday.

Joseph Franklin (Godby) tried some short stuff at his team's home meet with a 48.83 400 meters, coming with an easy 4:34 1600.

Over in Bay County at Mosely the county's teams clashed and Pt. St. Joe looked impressive with Kayla Parker continuing her multi-event domination with performances of 14.94 (100H), 12.16 (100m), and 17-3.5 (LJ). Megan Walker tied herself for second in the pole vault rankings with a 10-6 clearance. And for the boys vault Parker Harris got over 14-0 for a new PR.

Central Florida:

At the Leesburg Invite, Kevin Hardy (Vanguard) went 10.79 in the 100m. Kirk Dandridge of Lecanto became the second vaulter to clear 15 feet in the pole vault this year with a 15-4 clearance. On the girls side Shericka Ward (Leesburg) shined in the hurdles, going 14.50 (100H) and 47.41 (300H) all alone.

Down South:

Southridge continued to look amazing at their home meet... Zakeya Stinson swept the throws with dominating tosses of 131-7 and 43-11. Ebony Eutsey ran away with the 200m in 25.00. Marcia Williams took care of the 400m in 56.69 (third in the state). And look at these relay times! 4x800 ran an impessive 9:25.60 and the 4x400 went sub 3:50--3:49.72! And up the coast in Ft. Lauderdale at that St. Thomas Aquinas meet mentioned earlier with Egan's fantastic vault, there were some other highlights from the home team. Phillip Pierre-Louis double-dipped with wins in both short sprints with 10.73 (5th in the state) and 21.74. Ethan Grant ran the second fastest 300H time thus far with a 37.91 time. Jessica Butler ran the new state #2 3200 meter time with a 11:07.43. This girl has been improving dramatically every week and ran an 18:25 5K road race last month. Watch out for her!
