6. Kaylee Harp - Harrisonville, SO

PR - 2:21.08

Harp has had success on the cross country course each of her first two seasons, but she is even better in the 400 and 800. A 60.00 got her to state in the 400 last year and 2:23.29 got her to state in the 800 where she used her 2:21.08 personal best to get the final medal in the event. Only a sophomore, Harp has a bright future ahead of her and will be a strong choice to sneak into the top 5 even.

5. Riley Schelp - Lutheran South, SR

PR - 2:19.55 (2015)

Schelp has not run under 2:20 since her 2:19.55 in 2015, but she has been to state in the 800 each of her 3 years, taking 7th in 2016 and 10th each of the other two years. Schelp has fought through some injuries the past couple seasons, but after a strong cross country season, she will be a solid pick for a medal not just in the 800, but the other two distance events as well.
