Pre-Season Rankings: Class 4 800m

4. Katie Bean - Smithville, SR

PR - 2:19.93

After running 2:22 and taking 15th at state in the 2016 800, Bean used a 2:19.93 to take home a 6th place medal in the 800 last spring. She plays softball in the fall or else she would probably have some impressive cross country performances to discuss, but even without them, she has done enough in our eyes to warrant a 4th place ranking heading into 2018.

3. Claire Morrill - Notre Dame (Cape Girardeau), SR

PR - 2:17.11

Morrill is a very quiet talent out of Notre Dame Cape and is dangerous for 800 right now in Class 4. Her 2:17.11 came at this past summer's Jr. Olympics and makes her the favorite in this event based on time. She sits in 3rd for now after taking 5th at state last year, but she has ran 2:18 or better three times now, as well as 60.58 for 400 and 4:52 for 1500. Morrill is a front runner and should be on everyone's watch list heading into 2018.
