Official results have not yet been received in text form, but Milton Lyons emailed a picture from his iPhone of the official results posted at the meet this morning at Taylor Park in Largo. And a picture speaks 1000 words.
Kathryn and Erika again went 1-2, as they have in every single meet so far this season, with impressive national-level times (17:01.99 and 17:17.16). This is just off Kathryn's personal best from flrunners 10 and a new PR by 7 seconds for Erika. Emily Edwards of Canterbury was in third place, about 1:10 back from Erika.
While Taylor Park is definitely on the fast side, running these kind of times at a no-pressure and relatively low-key regional meet clearly speaks volumes for their fitness. Little looks to be stopping them from doing the same 1-2 sweep next week at the state meet. And looking toward Footlocker South both have a great chance to qualify and Kathryn is perhaps even a top 5 threat at the national championship meet next month in San Diego! Congrats, girls!
