Both Winter Park and Lyman escaped the 4A-1 Region of Death and went onto win the 4A Cross Country Finals. Winter Park is loaded and could inherent some more young talent from it's middle school feeder programs. Lyman also returns a corp from their state title team including individual champion Joshua Jacques, top ten finisher Jordan Armstrong, and incoming sophomore Bryce Bell. The 3A team battles are always competitive and 2015 should be no different. Fort Myers was the 2014 runner-ups, but you can't count out Chiles and Sarasota. On the boy's side can Belen Jesuit bounce back after not making the podium for the first time in a long while? Creekside made noise in 2014 and should challenge the Wolverines for the top spot. St. Augustine's Kelly Aponte never broke 19 minutes before 2014. Aponte dipped under that mark the last four races and finished the season as the 3A runner-up. She will be one of the favorites in 2015. On the boy's side Foot Locker National Finalist Steven Cross is the 3A favorite and should take over the crown from two-time champ Sukhi Khosla who graduates. The Holy Trinity girls and boys swept the 1A Cross Country Finals in 2014 and return a majority of runners from both teams. With this plethora of talent the Tigers are poised to repeat on both sides in 2015.
