Daytona was filled with speed on Friday and Saturday while many universities and high schools competed. Embry Riddle University held their annual Embry-Riddle Spikes Classic in Daytona Beach.

Colonial senior and University of Florida commit Andres Arroyo ran a remarkable US#2 3200m race running an incredible 9:01.34. It truly was an inspiring sight to see the star run to another national time by racing against himself, after running a US#1 800m time of 1:47.79 at Florida Relays less than 48 hours before. What a phenomenal two days! Next week, Arroyo will be racing at the Brian Jaeger Elite Classic in Winter Park with the goal in mind to break that nine minute barrier. Best of luck Andres.
