Stanton Prep class of 2014 sprinter Kendal Williams had a stellar season and is up MileSplit's High School Track & Field Boys Athlete of the Year. Williams finished his high school career with a sweep of the 100 meter and 200 meter state titles, bringing his total championships to six (four straight in the 200, two in the 100). At the Dream 100 in New York City, he improved on his sixth place finish a year ago and brought home the "belt", winning in 10.46. Competing against America's toop under 20 runners, the FSU signee finished second in both the 100 and 200m dash in personal bests of 10.27 and 20.46w (current US#2). Two weeks later, he stunned spectators at Hayward Field when he bested a loaded field from all over the world at the IAAF World Junior Championships in the a US#3 time and new personal best of 10.21. He rounded out his high school career with one final gold medal as a member of Team USA's 4x100 meter relay team. Voting closes on Sunday, August 10th at 5 PM!
