Kayla Johnson (University of Miami)
Kayla Johnson is a mid-distance power excelling in both the 400 and 800m. Heck she even competed in cross country this year for the Spartans and made it to the Cross Country Finals. Johnson didn't do the 400m at state like she did in 2015, when she placed 5th, but competed in the USATF Junior National Outdoor T&F Championships where she was 1st in the prelims with a PR of 53.65 which ranks in the top ten nationally. In the two lap 800m run, Johnson was 3rd at the 4A state meet, and owns a PR of 2:09.60 from the Louie Bing Classic at the beginning of 2016, US#16 for the senior class. Johnson will join Mason at UM and selected the South Florida program over UCF and Georgia making a major signing coup for the Hurricanes.
