Sue Thomas was on-site at the 2A District 4 Championship in Orange Park, that featured one of the state's top teams in Bolles. The Bulldogs scored a perfect 15 points on the boys side and a near perfect 18 points on the girls side to bulldoze the competition. The clock is always ever runners biggest competition as the quest to set a new PR begins each week. 692 runners in the state of Florida have run under 18 minutes while 185 have dipped under 17, and only 16 have broken 16 minutes. We have the deepest results database in the country and showcase it in our rankings explosion; the top 5,000 boys 5k times so far this season.

Mandarin class of 2013 graduate Lucas Shannon has come home to the Mustang's as their coach following the retirement of longtime coach James Schmitt. The squad is coming off their 10th straight Gateway Conference championship and is hoping to make some noise in the postseason. North Florida correspondent Jacob Fuller caught up with Shannon and the members of the Mandarin senior class to talk about the conference win, coaching changes, program traditions, and much more.

The postseason begins this week and the state meet will be here before we know it. Since the beginning of the fall we've look at the top teams and who has the best chance to win THIS YEAR. We rank the best underclassmen girls and boys squads in the state, those that will be on the podium for the next 3-4 years and that list starts with the likes of Pine Crest and Belen Jesuit.

Seminole County usually produces some of the top cross country athletes in Central Florida and in recent years, the state. That talent was on display at the SAC XC Championships with the likes of Bryce Bell leading the Lyman boys to victory and junior Daniela Urzua running 18:23.94 to overtake freshmen Elayna Bahr of Winter Springs and Ashley Klingenberg of Lake Brantley. Billy Simpson was on-site and captured all the race videos as well as an interview with boys champion Bryce Bell.

Tyler Copeland was on-site at the Seminole Athletic Conference XC Championship in Lake Mary to witness the areas top athletes go head to head and captured this photos of the start of the girl's varsity race as they headed from the start on the football field into the park for the majority of the race. Timothy "Flash" Doyle of Freedom ran away with the boys race at the Metro Conference east championship while the Winter Park girls and Rafaella Gibbons  went 1-11 and 14th. WOW. On the west end, Cole Pruim of Ocoee and the Olympia boys were victorious while Isabella Bartczak of Dr. Phillips and the West Orange girls took home hardware as well.
