Krystal Sparling and Diamond Spaulding dazzled fans with their speed and were an opponent's worst nightmare. The St. Thomas Aquinas senior are arguably the most potent 1-2 punch in the country on one of the most dominant programs in the nation. As juniors, the pair were part of the Raider's national leading 4x200m relay, US#4 4x100m relay, and US#2 4x400m relay. Recently, the announced they will be headed out west, signing with Texas A&M.

TFA State Champion Timpson Chooses The University Of Florida Todd Grasley Nov 19, 2014

Michael Timpson had never made it to the state championships in track before his junior year. The same year he transferred to The First Academy. In the spring of 2014, Timpson the son of former NFL wide receiver Michael Timpson Sr. finished first the 1A state meet in the 100m dash and was runner-up in the 200. He recently announced his college decision to run for Coach Mike Holloway and the University of Florida Gators. We caught up with him to talk about that decision.

Zach Weaver transferred from Tennessee to Florida for his senior year. As a member of Pasco High School's cross country team, he was 12th at the 2A Cross Country Finals. National Signing Day has come early for runners in both cross country and track and field. The early signing period allows athletes to sign allows athletes to make their announcements starting today through next Wednesday, November 19th. For those who choose to wait it out, the final signing period will open on April 15, 2015 and close on August 1, 2015.  Many of the top stars around the country will have official signing ceremonies, while others may do so in the coming days. Who will be the college programs to line up an amazing class to make then national championship contenders over the next years? Chalk One Up For Rocky Top: Cogdell Is A Tennessee Volunteer Todd Grasley Nov 12, 2014

American High School senior Ari Cogdell led the Patriots to a runner-up finish at the 4A state championships finishing 4th in the open 400m, and anchoring the school's winning 4x400m relay. His 46.67 at the 4A Region 4 Championships is the fastest returning time in the state for the upcoming season, and sixth fastest in the nation. In addition to that nationally ranked time, his anchor leg at the Golden South Classic gave American a US#2 time of 3:12.12. Cogdell recently announced he will continue his running career as a member of the University of Tennessee Volunteers. We caught up with the quarter-mile standout to talk about the recruiting process, his decision, and future goals.
 

Cacciatore Catches On To William & Mary Tribe Todd Grasley Nov 06, 2014

Andrew Cacciatore has been a part of three cross country title teams at Holy Trinity. As a sophomore, Cacciatore was 9th at the 1A Cross Country Finals and followed that up with a runner-up finish in 2013. On the track, he was third this past spring at the outdoor state meet in the 3,200m. Recently, he announced he will be attending the College of William and Mary to run for the Tribe.

Fort Myers senior Dean McGregor has made his college decision. McGregor, who was 29th at the 3A Cross Country Finals in 2013 and placed 11th this springin the 1,600m at the outdoor state championships, picked Florida Southern College in Lakeland. We talked to Dean about his choice to become a Moc, the recruiting process, and his goals for the future.

After a stellar recruiting class for the class of 2014 UNF has just added another star to its young and talented roster. St. Augustine’s Ryan Aponte is the latest athlete to become an Osprey, and head to Jacksonville. Aponte, was 33rd at the 2013 Cross Country Finals and boasts a 5k personal best of 15:49.49.  I talked to Ryan about the decision and the recruiting process.
