Tampa Jesuit redeemed itself after losing to Sickles last week. The Tigers got their first win of the year, beating out PK Yonge by one point! Sickles placed third, 11 points behind Jesuit. PK Yonge had a team average of 16:59 to Jesuit's 17:11, although the average was skewed thanks to the Anderson twins who finished in 1st and 3rd places--each with a sub-16 time.

Michael Anderson beat out Kyle Cooke for the individual win, 15:40 to 15:53. Geoff Anderson and Eric Larson (Pensacola Washington) also put up sub-16 times.

HS Girls Invitational

Satellite pulled off the upset win over Holy Trinity with a stellar top four and a solid performance from #5 runner Alisa Kowaleski, who is starting to step it up for the Scorpions. BALE-N-TRAIL

Meet Results

Boys

Besides Coach Scott Gowan's assertion that the team was "taking it easy" this week to prepare for Great American, there was nothing easy-looking about their performance. The Chiles boys had a 25 second 1-5 split, ranging from Chris Renneker's 16:36 to 17:01 and their 6-7 finished in 17:05 and 17:18. Impessive.

Bartram Trail and Flagler Palm Coast had a tight battle for second. The Trail edged FPC by 3 points, besides FPC's team average of 16:57 besting Bartram Trail's 17:06. FPC was helped by another stellar performance by Anthony Morales whose 15:42 easily took the individual title. Wolfon's Francisco Garcia had a PR day with a time of 15:58 and finished in second.

Girls

Bartram Trail really stepped up the game here and proved they should be considered one of the very best girls teams in the state. They placed 7 under 21 and had a top five team average of 20:09 (23 second 1-5 split) on the fast but accurate Bartram Trail course. Bishop Kenny was also impressive, just 7 points back, with a team average of 20:17 and a 47 second 1-5 split.

Coming from out of no where, without a single previouslly recorded elite performance, Chloe Kowalski of Pensacola Catholic took the individual title with a time of 19:38.
