Jenny ran in only her third 1500 of the year and came away from it with a very quick 4:00.48 win against great international competition.
She led the pack out for most of the race (behind the rabbit) and into the last lap. On the backstretch she lost the lead, but then found another gear around the final curve and passed back into the lead with about 50 meters to go. This is a really great sign and a huge confidence booster for the defending World Champion from 2011 going into Moscow. She has not had a lot of pressure to race in her signature event this year, since (as the reigning world champ) she got a bye into the event. So she had been trying some other races like the 800 and ran the 5000 at USA Senior Nationals (which she won in 15:33).
Her next race will be next month Moscow where she will seek to defend her title!
