CARY, NC -- Emily Harrison of Warren County finished a solid seventh place in the seeded invitational division among many of the nation's best with her time of 18:55.81. Harrison was the top finisher from Virginia as she beat out the likes of top ranked Sarah Bowman of Fauquier (11th, 19:29.91), Martinsville sophomore Anna Chase (13th, 19:39.41), and Warren County teammate Michelle Beardmore (15th, 19:58.44). Rebecca Ward (26th, 19:43.40) and Lindsay Traudt (33rd, 19:54.78) paced a short-handed James River squad to a 20th place finish in the Race of Champions race. Kelley Zwart (7th, 20:24.74) led Rockbridge County to a sixth place finish in the smalls chool division. Rockbridge's Will Williams (7th, 16:42.90) and Tabb's Sean Bossman (11th, 16:51.20) earned top 15 finishers in the small school division race as Williams's team got the best of Bossman's with Rockbridge finishing fourth overall and Tabb taking sixth place. Fauquier's Matt Bierlein finished 25th in the seeded invitational division with a time of 17:00.59.
