Over 40 teams from around the state will have the chance to run on the state meet track this weekend as UNF hosts its Spring Break Invitational. It's a chance to get the lay of the land before the big dance the first weekend in May. The two day-event also features a college section; a great opportunity to see how athletes compete at the next level.
On the girl's side Destiny Washington of West Orange and Chelsea Francis will battle it out in the sprints. Daeshon Gordon is one of the top hurdlers in the country, but the LSU signee will face stiff competition from Domonique Turney of Lake Mary, Brittany McGee of Admiral Farragut, and fellow LSU signee Danielle Phillips of Rocklege. Another must watch is the distance events.
