Sixty plus teams will make their way to Larry & Penny Thompson Park in Miami Thursday for the Junior Orange Bowl Invitational. The meet will start 10 a.m. with the middle school junior varsity and varsity races and resume at 2:30 p.m. with the high school junior varsity and varsity races. Only two girls in the invitational field have broke 19 minutes on the year. Gulliver Prep 8th grader Natalie Varela has made a huge impact on the South Florida running season and cemented herself as one to watch for years to come after winning the invitational race at FLR16 in a personal best time of 18:44.20 which would have been top ten in the Race of Champions.
