Oak Hall and Holy Trinity have been fixtures on the 1A girls podium the past few years. In 2013, Holy Trinity hoisted the trophy with a margin of 14 points. 2014 the gap was even greater. Fast forward to 2015, and the Tigers look like the favorites to win their 9th state title in program history and third in a row, but not so fast. Coach Scott Baker only returns his top three in sisters Shelby and Sydney Smith and Samantha Folio who are all ranked in the top ten in the state. The depth the program is known for is hardly that so who will step up in the next four spots? Oak Hall has experience with Grace Blair, Lindsay Rosenberg, Lauren Perry, and Talia Carlson, but will need to improve their 4-7. In a sport where every runner counts, the 1A girls team race will be a great example of this.
