  • Lake Mary junior Daniela Urzua proved she is no longer under the radar winning the 3A/4A race in the 13th fastest time in meet history 18:21.17. Top seven girls 18:55 or under. Niceville, Dr. Phillips, Holy Trinity the top three teams.
  • 3A Cross Country Finals runner-up Steven Cross of Merritt Islands wins the boys race in a new state leading time of 15:27.50. Trevor Foley, Joshua Jacques, Noah Perkins, and Joshua Collins post the second, third, fourth, and fifth fastest times in 2015. Belen, St. Thomas Aquinas, Lyman your top three teams.
  • Newberry junior Maggie Rice wins her second straight race taking the 1A/2A title in 19:01.27. Westminster Christian team champions with Eastside runner-up.
  • Juniors Mason Jones of Titusville and Chase Hyland of the Pine School finishing 1st and 2nd in 16:23.34 and 16:25.64 respectively in the boys 1A/2A race. Ransom Everglades over Father Lopez in team standings.
  • Florida alumni Eduardo Garcia (Mandarin/UF) and Anne-Marie Blaney (Belleview, UCF) won the mens and women's college races. The UNF men and Florida women were the team champions.

33rd Annual Spanish River Cross Country Invitational - Virtual Meet l Results l Race Videos & Interviews l

  • 8th grader Rahyah Andresson of Mater Academy wins the girls 3A/4A race in a new season best 19:30.76.
  • Another 8th grade sensation Natalie Varela of Gulliver Prep wins the 1A/2A race in in a very impressive sub 19 minutes, 18:53.28!
  • Coral Reef senior Carlin Berryhill was nearly 15 seconds better than the closest competitor in the boys 3A/4A race with a time of 16:16.80
  • The surprise win of the day might have been in the boys 1A/2A race where Divine Saviors' Guilherme Peirera outlasted the competition by over 15 seconds in 16:41.91.

North Port XC Invitational - Virtual Meet l Results l (Photos By Tom Connor (Over 2,500)

  • Daley Cline of Estero and Maddie Welch of Lyman Bay 1-2 in 19:36.39 and 19:39.70 in the girls elite race. Wharton places five in the top 25 to win with 60 points over runner-up Plant (97 points).
  • Photo finish in the boys race as Luke Peterson of Shorecrest Prep edges out Sarasota's River Warren Grajalez by five one-hundredths of a second, 16:14.09 to 16:14.14! Labelle your team champions with 80 points. Ft. Myers the runner up with 90 points.
  • Adrian Pascotto of Barron Collier the invitational champion in 20:53.78. Wharton girls team champions.
  • Blake Burchett of Seacrest Country Day wins the boys invitational race in 17:23.54. Naples boys sweep complete team title sweep.
