The 2015 FSU Invitational/Pre-State is one of the largest ever with over 200 teams and 2,000 plus athletes. Due to inclement weather upcoming in North Carolina canceling Great American, the meet benefited from defending 4A state champion Winter Park, 3A runner-up Fort Myers, as well as a slew of Georgia's best teams making the trip to Tallahassee. We preview all the competition in the elite races which will take place first thing on Saturday morning.
Rafaella Gibbons has the fastest time in the state with her 18:13.00 season opener at the DeLand Invitational. Gibbons has been well rested and hasn't raced since September 12th when her and her Wildcats teammates headed up to the Coach Benson Double Dip hosted by Marist. Daniela Urzua has been on fire as well in 2015 winning all four of her races including the UF Mt. Dew Invitational over several of the top competitors in the field.
