Chauncy Smart (Junior, Auburndale) - Smart had a little extra motivation coming into the Florida Relays. The Auburndale junior was running for a childhood friend who lost his battle with cancer. Smart showed out clocking a US#1 all-conditions time of 10.30. Although slightly wind-aided the top three performances were all under 10.50.
Justin Pacifico (Senior, Flagler Palm Coast) - Flagler Palm Coast senior and UF signee Justin Pacific was boxed in a little bit 250 meters into the boys 800m run, but quickly worked himself up to second with 200 meters to go in the race. Then Pacifico in a battle with Yohance Haynes who had the best time coming in, showed his pure speed, and ran away from the field in a FL#1 and US#2 time of 1:51.87. The top six times were all under 1:54.3!
Jordan Armstrong (Senior, Lyman) - Seven runners were in contention for the boys 1,600m title as they entered the bell lap. Lyman senior and Air Force signee Jordan Armstrong decided to take the lead and was being challenged all the way until the finish line crossing the line in a new personal best time of 4:14.86. The top 11 boys in this race were all under 4:20!
Adam Bradtmueller (Senior, Sarasota) - The Sarasota senior won the 3,200m at Florida Relays in a new personal best time of 9:10.15. His previous best time of 9:26.44 was set in running 2014's Florida Relays .
American Heritage 4x1 & 4x400m Relay Teams - The American Heritage boys won the 4x1, 4x2, and 4x400m relay at the Florida Relays! The 4x100m relay kicked off the party with a sub 41s 40.95 while the 4x4 team closed the three day event running 3:15.27.
Coral Reef 4x800m Relay Team - This might not have been the most exciting 8+ minutes for opposing teams, but for the Coral Reef boys 4x800m relay team it was a new state leading and US#3 time of 7:52.02.
Sean Clarke (Senior, Lyman) - With his future team and coaches in attendance the University of Pennsylvania signee picked a great time to drop a new personal best in the pole vault. Clarke cleared a state leading and US#9 16'3 to win Florida Relays. The Lyman senior and two-time 4A state champion tried for 16'5", but came up short.
Eron Carter (Senior, Palatka) - The Virginia Tech football signee swept the throws at the St Johns County River Conference Championships winning the shot put with a mark of 55'0.5". In the discus, Carter unleashed a monster personal best and state leading and US#5 throw of 195'0. The mark is 5th all-time according to our database records.
