Jennifer Barringer (Simpson) set the fastest time ever at the FACA All-Star Meet when she ran 17:32.70 on the Miccosukee Greenway course. Barringer would go onto win Foot Locker South and place 10th at Foot Locker Nationals ending one of the most spectacular high school careers in the state of Florida and ultimately becoming one of the best American distance runners.
