Spotlight Athlete: Osceola's Carlos Becker Is A Beast On The Track & Gridiron

Osceola senior Carlos Becker is one of the top football prospects in the country, but he's no slouch in track and field either. The FSU signee leaped a state leading 23'11" to win the Orange Belt Conference Championship. The win marked his fourth for the meet to go along with victories in the 110m hurdles, 200m dash, and triple jump. Recently, our Donald Lamb caught up with Becker to find out more about this athlete beyond the field.

Eric Pinellas coaches the girls team, but can spot a talent when he sees it and says Becker is a beast.

"Carlos is a good kid. Coach Hines has done a great job. A lot of Becker's talent is so natural. If he were a full time track guy he would put up crazy numbers in multiple events. I think he does both sports at FSU. He has thought about it and it just depends on how football goes."
