Flrunners.com: What was your most memorable race/moment?
Cameron Malone: Going to Regionals with the 4x4 team.
FLR: Who would you consider your biggest competition over your four years?
CM: Wesley Chapel & Land O Lakes High School.
FLR: What was your greatest accomplishment?
CM: Breaking our 4x4 school record by 5 seconds.
FLR: If you could do it all over again what would you change about your running career in high school?
CM: I would have done more intense summer training my freshman and sophomore year.
FLR: What were the most difficult obstacles you had to overcome?
CM: Injuries and sickness.
FLR: What will you miss the most?
CM: Just the feeling after a good race regardless if you won or lost.
FLR: What advice you would give to younger athletes?
CM: Be serious when you need to, but have fun when you can. It's the time you spend with your team that you will remember the most.
FLR: What influence has your coach had with respect to your performance and overall life goals?
CM: Our coach has helped push us to new levels and has made us stronger because of it.
FLR: What are your college plans?
CM: PHSC for two years & USF for my bachelor's. I might run for USF as well.
FLR: Who would you like to say thank you to?
CM: Everyone who's helped me have a great high school career. My friends, family, even my fellow runners on different teams. We may not know each other well but to be able to compete against some really talented individuals is an amazing experience.
FLR: Is there anything else you'd like to add?
CM: To the class of 2016 across Florida I wish you all the best of luck. We may be on different roads to different destinations, but even so I hope that your future is one of good times and success.
