Flrunners.com: What was your most memorable race/moment?
Vanzel Burnett: Placing in the 400 at regionals which qualified me for states.
FLR: Who would you consider your biggest competition over your four years?
VB: Breaking my school 100,200,400, and 4x400 meter records
FLR: What was your greatest accomplishment?
VB: I placed 5th at states in the 400 meters.
FLR: If you could do it all over again what would you change about your running career in high school?
VB: I would make sure I have less injuries during my high school career.
FLR: What were the most difficult obstacles you had to overcome?
VB: Recovering from my injuries and getting back into shape.
FLR: What will you miss the most?
VB: I will miss all the people I have met over the course of my track career and my teammates
FLR: What advice you would give to younger athletes?
VB: To always stay humble and be patient. Your time will come with hard work.
FLR: What influence has your coach had with respect to your performance and overall life goals?
VB: He has always been a mentor for me on the track and in the classroom. He would always stay on top of me and my teammates' grades.
FLR: What are your college plans?
VB: I am going to be attending Cornell University.
