The two girls from Florida, Ashley Brasovan and Jessica Butler, won their respective heats tonight at the Nike Outdoor Nationals 5K. Butler won the first heat with nice closing speed to come from behind.
Brasovan left no doubt in the 5K running all alone the entire race and basically lapping every girl in the field of the fast heat. She set a meet record of 16:18.53.
We had live video of the race tonight. Will have plenty of videos, articles, and photos up on the national portal: Thursday Coverage
