We had a very productive meeting today in Titusville with the new provost of Brevard Community College and other key staff members, the County Parks Department, Coach Jeff Kramer, and the County Sports Commission. Everything is great and everyone is on the same page and ready to make this thing a huge success! So here are some details about this year's event....

New Logo

How do you like our sharp new logo? This will replace the temporary one that I have been using thus far to promote the meet. We kicked ideas back and forth between ourselves and Nike and this is what our collaboration and their designer came up with--I think for sure one of our best designs ever. This is going to look SWEET on the meet t-shirts this year.

So we're thinking we will sell white, gray, pink, blue... and to change things up yellow. Our staff shirts are traditionally yellow and people are often begging for us to sell them. So we may do a limited run of some yellows this year to satisfy the craving--and yellow looks really nice with this logo. That will mean we'll change our staff shirts to lime green, which of course will mean everyone will want those. You always want what you can't have!

The Competition

It's going to be fantastic for both genders. The girl's side especially is going to be UNBELIEVEABLE! It will be both a legendary battle on the individual and team front. We are also going to be joined this year by more out of state teams than ever, but still very much a Florida meet.

I'll release some previews of some of the lineups committed so far in the next couple of weeks.

Guest Speakers

I can't announce them yet because they are not official and won't be until after the Olympics most likely (hint hint), but our Friday night speakers are going to be great. We won't be doing the banquet this year (last year you had to buy a meal with the ticket), but will have concessions on site if you want to eat there or just go out before. The speakers will go on about 7:30 or soon thereafter. Tickets are going to be a fairly nominal fee. The gym only can handle 750 people, so seating will be limited and if we don't have a rain storm like last year it should be sold out.

Registration is completley online. There is no paper form this year. The only thing you need to mail is a check.
