VOTE: Girls Performance Of The Week - FL Relays Edition

April is upon us and the April showers showed up in Gainesville this past weekend, but that didn't dampen the energy and results. We take a look back at the top performers of the Florida Relays and make sure to vote for your favorite athlete. Then check back later in the week and see who won!

Rayquel Berry- Then top girl's jumper in the state was back to her winning ways as won the triple jump at a very wet FL Relays with a mark of 39-09.25. The senior from Coral Reef HS owns the top long jump and triple jump mark in FL and will be the clear favorite in 4A as the state series begins.

Mya Bodrato- It was a breakout race for the freshman from Lake Mary HS as Bodrato had a 19 second personal best on her way to winning the girls 3200 at the Florida Relays. Mya blazed a 10:51.32 as she set the FL #7 mark for the 3200m on her way to leading two girls under the 11 minute mark.

Destiny Castillo- The junior from Hallandale HS dethroned the top long jumper in FL in Rayquel Berry as Castillo took the long jump win at the FL Relays in a jump of 19-09 feet. Destiny's jump moves her into 2nd place in the state behind Berry, but this huge personal best gives Castillo the top spot in 2A.

Shaneylix Davila- The senior hurdler took full advantage of only having the 100H and not having to worry about the 300H as she finished second in prelims with a time of 14.27, but came back in the finals with a consistent time of 14.26. The Poinciana HS stud is currently 4th in the 100H in Florida and held her own against the 300H state leader, Rayniah Jones.

Tamari Davis- The freshman phenom added to her already impressive season as she set the new US #2 time in the 100 meter dash in the prelims which she ran a 11.29. She then came back in a rainy final and ran away with it in a time of 11.34. Davis is the top freshman in the country in the sprints and showed yet again she can run with the top dogs.

Jinah Mickens-Malik- The freshman from Mater Academy Charter set the FL #2 time in the 800 meter dash as she took the win in a time of sub 2:10. Mickens-Malik returned to Gainesville after her runner-up finish last year and got revenge as she edged out Miami Northwestern's senior Ayoola Gbolade, as she ran 2:09.40.

Alyssa Richard- The shot put winner of the FL Relays has been on a tear this year as she set the FL #4 mark with a throw of 43-03.75. The junior from Miami Northwestern threw her PB as she has also won the Sam Burley Hall of Fame Invitational and the Bob Hayes Invitational.

Laine Roberts- The pole vaulter from Bolles HS got back to her dominating ways as she won the Florida Relays pole vault in a mark of 11-07.75. The sophomore bounced back from her last year's finish of 13th and then she went on to finish 2nd at the 2A FHSAA State Championships as a freshman.

Alex Still- The senior from IMG Academy took home the win in the high jump with a mark of 5-05 feet. Still already is the 5th best high jumper in the Sunshine State as she was just a few inches from her PB which she set at the St. Cloud Invitational.
