It doesn't appear we will have a changing of the guard in girls track and field next season. Our rankings of the top returning teams shows St. Thomas Aquinas at number one. The Raiders are the defending 4A state champions and are joined in the top five with 2017 3A champions Northwestern, 2A winners Hallandale, and other South Florida perennial powers American Heritage and Northeast.

Note: These rankings were calculated by scoring the rankings as a meet. We scored 20 deep for individuals and 20 deep for relays. For example, for individuals 1st place received 20 points for their team, on down to 1 point for 20th place.
