Brittenham led the duration of the race and was able to bounce back from a tough week of training to pull of the win and represent Florida with a very strong performance.
With an outdoor 1600m PR of 4:09 and 800m PR of 1:51, Brittenham, is ranked high amongst the top middle distance athletes in the state and this stellar season opener, tells us he will come back this season with the same competitive fire that made him a state champion last season.
Up next for the future Gator are tougher workouts to prepare for the outdoor season and, quite possibly, an indoor national debut.
