The girls 3200m final was one to watch at the FSU Relays.
A stacked field of Tsion Yared, Rebecca Clark, Parker Valby, Mary Ellen Eudaly, Alyssa Hendrix and more lined up to race the eight-lap distance.
Valby took it out hot from the gun, with a giant pack going through the first lap in a brisk 70 seconds. A pack of four remained after the 1200 with Valby, Clark, Yared, and Eudaly going through the first mile in a 5:03 with Hendrix, Emily Culley, Alyson Churchill, and Rylee Pustilnik following.
The front pack was clicking at a nice 80 second per lap pace and it was unknown of who would take the win. The Plant Freshman, Eudaly, took the lead in a dominating fashion and Clark was up for the challenge.
Clark, a future Seminole, took the lead back with less than 200m to go and gunned it for the finish line. What happened next has to be one of the best 3200m races in the past decade. 12 girls went sub 11 minutes.
