The Belen Jesuit boys took third through fifth place this weekend in the 3A boys race at the FHSAA state finals.
Their dominating squad, with only one senior, brought home their eleventh state title rewriting the state championship record books as the team with the most boys team championships over Largo (10), and Bishop Kenny / Holy Trinity / Trinity Prep (8).

Diego Gomez, Adam Magoulas, and Javier Vento led the team, but the state championship was not their end goal for their 2019 season. The Wolverines will head to NXR southeast in a few weeks to make a run for an NXN qualifying spot. Fellow Florida state championship team, Satellite, will be there to challenge them in that effort.
