The Florida High School Athletic Association (FHSAA) released the updated calendar and state series dates for fall sports on Tuesday.
As of right now, all FHSAA member schools will have until Sept 18 to opt out of the new cross country State Series. This state series will consist of District meets run on October 26-31, Regional meets on November 2 - 7, and the State Finals run on two separate days on November 13-14. These meets will depend on the amount of teams that commit to participate in the State series and the FHSAA will "look into the possibility of restructuring the district complex in the sport," according to the FHSAA calendar update.
