Harris To Become A Hurricane

Tim Harris has announced his decision to become a Hurricane at the University of Miami under Head Track Coach Mike Ward in the Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC). Tim will also play Football under Coach Coker after his first track and field season.

Tim will follow in the footsteps of past Miami greats such as Davian Clarke, a 2 time NCAA Champion and 6 time All-American. He\'ll be shooting to find the same success as Ronald Thorne who clocked 1:46.66, setting the school record in the 800 during the 1994 outdoor season.

This past weekend, Tim added to his impressive string of wins in the 800 by finishing first in the qualifier for Junior Worlds held in College Station, Texas.

Tim, along with Marcus Mayes of Missouri, will represent the United States of America at the Junior World Track and Field Championships in Grossetto, Italy, from July 12th through July 18th.

FLRunners congratulates Tim on an outstanding season and for representing the State of Florida with distinction. We wish him all the best as he pursues greatness at the University of Miami.
