Virtual Meet Projections: Boys - Girls
A quality Tuesday evening meet in Tampa will be found at the TRC Rogers Park Invitational starting at 5:30 PM from the Rogers Park Golf Course. flrunners.com will be on-site with race video and photo coverage.
The HB Plant boys coached by Mike Boza and girls coached by Roy Harrison are the top teams favored in the competition. The Plant boys, in particular, will be expected to run away with a team title as they have 6 of the top 9 fastest runners in the meet based on season-best 5K times, while the defending 4A state champion Plant girls could have a bit closer race from two formidable squads in Academy of Holy Names and Wharton trying to upset them.
There will be an expected battle upfront in the boys' race between the Plant duo of Albert Tawil-Brown and Ryan Maney with Alonso senior Raekwon Hopkins as all three runners have broken 16 minutes this season.
