Craig Allard Jr. only had one sub-17-minute performance prior to the state meet with a 16:59 run at the Bishop Verot Viking Invite, but saved his best race of the season in his last one clocking a 16:46 PR on the state meet course in Tallahassee with a 37th place finish in the 3A race to help the Fort Myers boys finish as a state runner-up squad. Allard Jr. was the sixth fastest freshman boys performer at the state meet.
