FHSAA 1A Girls 4x100m Relay
Oxbridge Academy 48.31
The Oxbridge Academy girls came in as one of the top qualifiers from the regional meet in the 4x100 meter relay and delivered in holding off all the other sub 50 second squads in the field winning with a season best time of 48.31.
Last year's 1A state champions in Wildwood were coming on hard at the end with Ja'Kyra Corbin on their anchor leg after finishing 3rd in the open 100 meter dash as a ninth grader.
Evangelical Christian appeared to put their top girl in state runner-up McKenzie Travis on the back stretch for the second leg to give them a lead rolling into the last turn before being caught and run down by Oxbridge Academy.
