Sunlake's Alex Pena exhibited great range over the track season posting personal best times of 1:56 in the 800, 4:14 in the 1600, and 9:15 in the 3200 including a 3A state runner-up finish in the 1600. He now moves up to the 4A classification this cross country season with his 15:40 5K best ranking him among the fastest returnees in the class.
