Two Weeks Away From 23rd Annual HOKA flrunners.com Invite!

We are just over two weeks ago from the 23rd edition of the HOKA flrunners.com Invitational set once again at Holloway Park in Lakeland, Florida on September 30th and October 1st. Currently, a total of 131 schools are already registered to compete with that list to continue to grow until our entry deadline in 10 days at midnight on Sunday, September 25th.

Last year's field included 192 high school teams, middle schools, and clubs exceeding 4,000 runners total. We are looking forward to having the best of Florida as well as great out of state competition converging all at Holloway Park in two weeks!

Important to note and more clarity with this year's meet registration for high school teams that they will need to enter their meet roster on Direct Athletics due to FHSAA mandates here. Coaches simply need to only enter their meet roster on Direct Athletics. No race declarations needed or asked for on Direct Athletics.

Meanwhile, high school coaches then need to declare their race day assignment if they intend on racing on Friday or Saturday only as well as if entering both a varsity and/or JV squad via MileSplit registration here. After declare your race day as well as if bringing a varsity and/or varsity team, the correct entry amount owed should be visible then. 

High School coaches do not need to enter their meet roster twice on MileSplit. We will be only downloading meet rosters from registration on Direct Athletics, so make sure all of your athletes that will be potentially racing at flrunners.com Invitational are entered there. 

Entry Fees

HS - $100 per race (Varsity/JV) / $300 max
MS - $75 per gender / $125 max
Elementary - $75 per gender / $125 max
Elementary / MS / HS / Club Individual - $15 per athlete
$400 max overall / $300 max per level

All middle school and elementary school coaches, teams, and unattached individuals still will need to register their athletes and meet rosters via the MileSplit registration system here

For Friday's high school races, varsity and JV runners will race together in one boys race and one girls race (unlimited runners per team).

For Saturday's high school races, meet management will rank and select teams to placed accordingly in each division with the best teams in the Race of Champions, the next best teams in the Jason Byrne Invitational division, and the remaining varsity races in Unseeded division.  Teams can put a maximum of 10 runners on the line in the varsity Saturday races, while unlimited runners on the starting line in the Saturday JV races and all of Friday's races (HS, MS, Elementary).

We will post a preliminary list of teams accepted/invited in the Race of Champions next week (Thursday, September 22nd) while posting a final list of varsity race team assignments on Monday, September 26th.
