Hartley Runs Middle School US #1 3200m at RunningLane

In the girl's Championship 3200m at the RunningLane Track Championships in Huntsville, AL., Creekside So. Alyson Johnson placed 3rd in 10:19.00.  A FL #8 All-Time and a FL #2 All-Time for a Sophomore.  While all the attention was up front on the leaders, back in the pack were two Florida Middle Schoolers.  Her sister Sydney and Avery Hartley, both running for No Excuses Running Club. Hartley was 13th.  Johnson was 21st.   However, and it is a big however, their times are US MS #1 and 3 this year and place them in some elite company.  Hartley's time, 10:37.53, is a 7th Grade US MS #4 All-Time, a US MS #9 All-Time, a FL MS #1 All-Time, and a FL 7th Grade All-Time!  Johnson's 10:55.07  is a FL MS #5 All-Time.


In the boy's race, Hagerty Sr. and University of Florida commit, Jonathan Leon, ran an 8:48.86. His 4th place time places him at FL #4 All-Time behind Buchholz's Riley Smith (8:39.71), Leon's Patrick  Koon (8:41.46) and Nease's Rheinhardt Harrison (8:47.43).

In the Boys 3200 meter Run B2, Sr. Graham Myers of Fleming Island was 3rd running a sub-9:00,  8:57.91 and Bolles' Jr. Parker Adams was 4th going sub-9:00 in 8:58.00.
