Foundation Academy's Madeleine Gear won the 1600 (4:52.84) and the 800m (2:11.51) this year in the 1A FHSAA State Championship. In the 1600m, she defended her 2023 championship (4:49.68). The Arkansas commit, also won the FSU Relays 800m with a 2:10.40 PR and a 4:51.08 PR (4:49.21 - 1600m) in the HOKA Festival of Miles.

The 2024 Florida High School Outdoor Track & Field Season, other than a few post-season meets, is complete. I thought it would be interesting to take a look at who would the best girls and boys overall Sprinters, Mid-Distance, Distance, Throwers, and Jumpers may be by combining performances. In this series, the athletes' performances from February 1 - June 1 are combined and the athletes are ranked by their total times or distances of their best performances.
