Jerrell Hopkins, running for Supreme Performance Athletics, is off to a great start in his young career on the track. The sprinter is quickly establishing himself as a leader in Florida's very talented field of young sprinters.
Hopkins had a stellar 2024 indoor and outdoor season as a 7th grader. Indoors, he had times of 7.51 in the 60m, 24.14 in the 200m and 58.14 in the 400m. Outdoors, he ran 11.31 in the 100m, 22.56 in the 200m and 51.82 in the 400m. His 22.56 came in a 200m win in the 14 Years Old Boys 200 Meter Finals at the AAU Club championships.
In 2025, at Jimmy Carnes, he improved his indoor times, dropping his 60m time from 7.51 to 7.30, his 200m time from 24.14 to 23.31, and his 400m time from 58.14 to 53.09. Watch for him to continue his improvement indoors and as we head to the outdoor season. He is one of Florida's Future Stars.
