Evan Spreitzer of Holy Trinity wins the Brooks XC South Regional Boys Championship Race, and Madison Muller of Sarasota Riverview is runner-up in the Girls' race, both claiming their spots for the Brooks XC Championship on December 13th in San Diego on the famed Balboa Park course. Spreitzer won in a time of 14:52.13. Muller ran 17:05.44. Spanish River's Preston Sangely also claimed one of the 50 spots for the nationals with his 9th-place finish in 15:02.48 at the South Regionals at McAlpine Park in Charlotte, NC.
Congratulations as well to Fort Myers' Reed Hagen who won the freshman boys race with a time of 16:06.22.
Muller won the girls' FHSAA 4A State Championship at Apalachee Park.
