Eighth-grader Kai Axem of Ammons Middle School has an impressive resume, especially in the 400m and the 800m. She currently leads the middle school girls rankings in the 400m with a 57.48, set at the Louie Bing Invitational. She leads the 800m with a 2:38.70 run in a second-place finish at the Larry Wooten MS Invitational, and she is third in the 100m with a 12.60 first-place run at the Miami-Dade MS/K-8 Championship. She is having a breakout season so far, running at the varsity level. Watch for her this spring. She's already making an impactful statement and is one of Florida's FUTURE STARS.
