As we head into Districts tomorrow, the FHSAA State Championships loom large, just three weeks out. This year is shaping up to be one where we may see several girls' state marks rewritten. What FHSAA Finals Meet Records have a chance of falling at the 2026 State Championships? Below is a breakdown of the events most at risk, based on current FHSAA Finals Meet Records, current Florida marks, all-time Florida marks, and, most importantly, active athletes competing.

100mH
The highest probable record threat comes in the 100mH. Sickles' sophomore, Nia Armstrong, has already matched the meet record with a legal 13.33 at the Pepsi Florida Relays. With favorable wind and championship conditions, she is a clear favorite to establish a new record-and potentially challenge the all-time state best. Armstrong is currently ranked No. 1 nationally and is No. 5 all-time in Florida.

1600m
In the 1600m, seniors Danielle Graham and Alyson Johnson of IMG, and senior Atarah Robinson of Venice, have all run under the current state meet record of 4:48.27 by Mary Ellen Eudaly of Cambridge (Christian) School, set in 2022. Graham, who holds the All-Time 1600m record of 4:43.51, will not be running the State Series as IMG does not participate in the Series. Johnson has not competed outdoors this season.
Robinson has run under the State Meet Record time with a 4:48.05 and is the favorite to win the 3A championship. If it's not a tactical race, watch for her to go after the meet record.
Another girl who could challenge the record is senior Eliana Black of Northside Christian. Black will be running in the 1A race. She has the championship experience to run faster than her 4:48.83 and she has run 4:53.87 this season. Again, much will depend on the race's pace.

Olivia Ennis of Plant City set the new state record of 49.88m (163-07.75) in April. The senior is well beyond the current Finals Meet Record set in 2025 by Alexa Schwartz North Broward Prep of 47.04m (154-03.75). She currently sits atop the National rankings. If the weather cooperates, we should see her establish a new FHSAA Finals Meet Record and possibly a new state record. Several other girls are pushing her as Florida dominates the National rankings at this time.
