Levonte Whitfield, Robin Reynolds Round Out Dream 100 Field

The final field for the Adidas Dream 100 and Dream Mile has been announced. Levonte Whitfield of Jones and Robin Reynolds of Miami Jackson added their names to a Dream 100 that is star studded with Sunshine State talent.

Whitfield qualified for the event after edging out Alabama state champion Aaron Ernest in a time of 10.31 to win the Golden South Classic. Whitfield joins cousin Marvin Bracy of Boone in representing Florida.

Reynolds, who has won double digit state titles in Florida, is the 2010 World Youth Olympic Champion at 400 meters. Her personal best in the 100 is 11.56. She is among three other Floridians in the GIrl's Dream 100 that includes Octavious Freeman, Tynia Gaither, and Shayla Sanders.

* Marvin Bracy - Thursday Night - "I feel real good. I think it's going to be a great experience. I had a light practice with "Kermit" (Levonte Whitfield today). We did 30 meter starts. My shoulder is getting better by the second.

* Shayla Sanders told me Thursday night she was looking forward to riding on a plane for the first time and was excited to see New York City.

* Marvin Bracy said Friday around 1:00 that he, Levonte Whitfield, and Coach Ricky Argro landed in New York. Whitfield's facebook status said, "On the way to New York City for the Dream 100. I'm sitting number two in the nation, (Bracy is number one). We are going to bring home the silver and gold to Florida."
