Muller, Sallault Headline Florida's Week Two Top-10 Movers
Not all of the Week Two results are in, but Saturday delivered several Top 10 performances in Florida's early-season rankings.
Madison Muller of Sarasota Riverview HS made an emphatic 2026 debut at the inaugural North Port Preserve Pursuit. Last year's No. 1-ranked Florida girl won in a state-leading 17:33.10.
Three other girls raced their way into the state's Top 10 at Whispering Pines, hosted by Citrus High School.
Wiregrass Ranch junior Natalia Gaona-Zelaya remained undefeated by winning a talented race in which five girls broke 18:00. Last year's No. 3-ranked runner posted an 18:08.90 to move to No. 4 in Florida this season.
Ocala Forest sophomore Lyla Hallick finished second in 18:25.40, improving on the 18:37.00 she ran while placing fourth at Cecil Field. Her latest performance moved her to No. 6 in the state rankings.
Zephyrhills senior Lydia Vincent followed her runner-up finish at the Lecanto Invitational with a third-place showing at Whispering Pines. Vincent improved from 18:40.70 to 18:34.10 and climbed to No. 10 in Florida.

On the boys' side, East Ridge senior Axel Sallault was consistent in capturing the Whispering Pines title in 15:47.00. His winning performance moved him to No. 6 in the Florida boys rankings, equaling his eighth-place finish at Cecil Field (15:47.00)
Tavares junior Liam Ilea placed second, narrowly missing the 16-minute barrier with a 16:00.60. That performance moved Ilea to No. 16 in the state.
